People swear that at dawn and dusk they see a 'person" hitchhiking on the side of the road. Supposedly if you pick him up, he will share his treasures with you, which include shrimp, fish, crabs and gold coins. I have never experienced this but have family camps in Cocodrie and Dulac and people swear they have seen this "guy". Caveat: I and my family members are big drinkers.

This is the first I hear of it, and I spent a year on that road and four point road literally from dawn and dusk 7 days a week while working on the Morganza levee. As the surveyor, I was first there, last to leave most days. That Indian heritage down there does smoke some good shite tho...
