Why are the parts being called fake if it is just the certification?
Everything dealing with a plane is logged. Every single minute of maintenance and parts are put into that plane's logbook down to the last bolt. Without the certification, there is no telling if they are real or where they originated from. Huge no-no.

The parts themselves are probably fine

PPRuNe (Professional Pilots' Rumor Network) seems to think that AOG Technics were reselling discarded aircraft parts as new.

It looks like the supply of reclaimed parts issued with bogus Airworthiness Release Certificates.

That’s not what you want to rely on when you’re cruising at 35,000 feet doing 600 MPH.

My guess is the metallurgy and failure testing was faked so they are not what they were represented to be anymore so than any other knockoff.
Is a $40 buck Folex not fake just because it is an actual watch?

Probably fine? You gonna get on an aircraft cobbled together with a bunch of parts some outfit says is “probably fine”?
“It will be fine” has put some aircraft nose down into the ground at full speed.
