Seriously...I have been a Miles supporter.

I don't think it will matter what changes he makes. I think that he has lost the confidence of the team. It's over. His co-DC decision was his Tepper moment. He blew it. Sorry Les.

He needs a home run on his next choice. No question about it. There is still time to turn it around with all the talent on the roster.

I agree, I was a Miles Man also but what did it for me is yesterday seeing how good JJ was in the first half. Miles could not recognize this talent all season? He sat JJ and let us suffer through all of those pitiful passes?!!

something major has to change, I never was fully convinced about miles, but you just couldn't argue the numbers so there wasnt much to say about him. I mean crap he won a NC, but in the back of my head, and i think quite a few LSU fans, since the time he was hired kind of was thinking, uh oh...

What would everyone be saying if WVU wouldn't have choked last year and let LSU in the MNC game? He might be on the hot seat for real.
BTW: LSU was just as undisciplined last year just had better defense and QB play to overcome it.

I'm gonna give him a pass on JJ. The kid is a true freshman and Crowton has a very complicated offense. JJ had to have time to learn some of it.
I won't give him a pass on the two headed defensive monster.

I agree 100%. There was no way in hell JJ was ready to go week 1 or even week 5. Now the co d stuff. I hated that the first time I heard about it. Lets hire a solid d coordinator and be back on top next year.

I have been doubting Les from the beginning. The only way he can save his job is to hire the most billy bad arse in your face saban clone for dc. If not the lesticle love fest is over.

I've never been a big Miles fan. In his first season here I had some issues with him - little things that I thought were indicative of bigger problems. His clock management skills were suspect frm the beginning, and to me there's no excuse for that. Too many times did we watch JR complete last minute game-winning drives, saving Miles from embarrasing defeats on the strength of his arm and the talent of our receivers. Yes, he has a great record and a national championship, but too may times I left a game feeling like we won in spite of Miles' coaching and not because of it.

Les won't fire his buddies. This is DiNardo all over again.

I can't beleive that he would not make the fire. Friends aside, we are talking about his livelihood. I just can't see him leaving things the way they are with so many people on his arse about the co-ds. He might not be the sharpest tool in the shed, but surely he must know this.

I agree, about this time next year, most likely LM and Malleveto go down together - it's so frustrating to think we will have to put up with this another year! KC.

wow images of 1999 all over again.

I think saying he's not the sharpest tool in the shed is still significantly overedtimating his inteeligence.

damn people....look, if BelowPar says Miles was given his marching papers in regards to malleveto after the OleMiss game, it's done
how he'll handle it remains to be seen

i'm a miles fan and supporter. however, its his job so he does deserve some criticism for sucking it up this year. The biggest concern is the co defensive coordinators and getting the players back. It does seem like that some of the players have turned their backs on the coaches. My biggest concern is how aside from MSU and VT last season we have yet to play 4 quarter football. Its great to be a second half team its a big momentum thing but sometimes you just need to impose your will for four quarters. LSU consistently plays from behind, thats probably the only thing we've done consistently.

If he doesnt make a knockout hire for DC, he wont last another 5 years at LSU. I am not a Miles hater; i just dont have much confidence in him at this point. He can redeem himself in the eyes of a great many Tiger fans if he makes a great hire.
