Stopping on my way to Prattville. Which are you favorite 9s?
Canyon
Sterling
Loblolly

I'm sure they are all nice

Canyon and Sherling are the best 2 nines. The redid the course a few years ago and made Loblolly too easy.

Sherling Canyon is the recommended 18.

As long as you play Sherling you can't go wrong

One of the tougher courses in the RTJ line up. Good luck

Great layouts.

Not anymore, they made the course relatively easy in the last few years. It used to be a certified monster.

It was for the best though, your average weekend Joe couldn't have enjoyed get walloped before. At least now they have a chance.

Canyon is pretty darn difficult, but cool to look at with all the elevation changes. Hole 4 was goofy hard off the tee with just no options at all besides a perfect tee shot. Hole 6 is pretty tough as well.

Sherling/Loblolly is what was available. Q school qualifying happening in the morning. Guess greens will be stupid fast and tough positions. Going to be interesting

Sherling is probably the best 9 anyway, brings the lake into play on several holes and has the best par fives of any of the nines. Loblolly is just too short on several holes but does still have some really good holes as well. Hope you play well and enjoy it.

Course was beautiful. Sherlings greens were sandy but ran true. Loblolly greens were lightning fast. Had a great time.

As for CapitolHill I have to rank them:
Legislator,really beautiful and FUN

Senator, quirky and very scramble. Also fun

Judge, it's the most challenging for sure. Beautiful, intimidating. Can't call it fun though

I've always loved Sherling -Canyon
Loblolly is just meh. Probably the weakest 9 on all the RTJ courses.
But Sherling and Canyon are 2 of the absolute best.
There's so many unique holes on both 9s.
Only a handful of just so so holes.
Some of the top holes are
Canyon 1
Canyon 3
Canyon 4
Canyon 8
Canyon 9
Sherling 3
Sherling 4
Sherling 5
Sherling 8
Sherling 9

Sherling 9 and Canyon 9 used to share a double green
