Does Brian Kelly kind of look like Jaba The Hut during games?

Is it just me?

As for you wanting to see Lacy sit and Welch & Harris get action, I think you might be disappointed there too. Chris Hilton and Welch barely saw any game time Sunday and Harris didn’t even travel.

Ohhhh I am disappointed by this. That’s why I posted it in my remarks. Lacy was trash last year and he is the same this year. There are better receivers sitting on the bench vs a redeaux that we acquired from USL.
Harris is the best CB on the team. Welch showed flash in the spring game, and was a stud in high school. He needs to see the field. At this point I would be ok with putting LilBoosie on the field.
Heard not starting over Frazier or Turner is ridiculous too. And I would be hard pressed to believe that Womack and Wiggins shouldn’t be getting playing time. There are freshman thriving in CFB believe it or not.

Sorry but this is 100xs worse than Miles. We are on the hook for another $90 Million and this guy is full of bullshite and excuses. LSU has been humiliated in 3 of the last 4 games. Good thing we played a bowl against a dead team with no QB or it may have been 4 games in a row.

Perkins is built like a safety. Can’t hold up to linemen.

Since we are thin at DB, why not try him at Safety?

It is amazing that some of you think everything the coach says is truth. There are tons of reasons for him not to voice his true opinion on how Perkins was used...I would think that would start with the DC and scheme going forward not the media and fans.

But Jimbo & Smart did something with their scheme to make Perkins less effective in A & M & UGA game.

What Jimbo did was run right at us, and their damn running back had the game of his life.

Kirby's team was simply better at virtually every position. We didn't win many 1v1 matchups, especially our defense against their offense.

It’s one game. Y’all are idiots. So reactionary. Get a life.
Dude won sec west while inheriting 39 scholarship players.
Played a legit team. We made mistakes. Got whooped move on. Kelly is fine

Von Miller? Very likely with his speed, size, and athletic ability.

Miller has 3in and 40# on perkins

He can play edge in college but he's going to have to put on lots of weight to play edge in the NFL

Between Mason, Wingo, Jones, Swinson and Perkins.

No QB is safe. Have either Penn or Speights play Perkins position and let Perkins go get the QB

Its amazing how many of you just take a short view on everything. Just use Perk like last year, but after the Arky game, he tapered off because teams adjusted. Anyone thinking that Perkins would not have a bit of a sophomore slump is nuts, give the kid time to learn the position. You just cannot have him rush the passer on every down. Give the man some time to understand and then his natural abilities will take over.

He has already dug his heels in on JD. We will look back three years from now when Nuss is starting in the NFL and JD is at best on a practice squad and say WTF was Kelly thinking. We literally have NFL arm talent sitting on the bench. If Kelly can't get that talent on the field on a consistent basis because he does not have his trust, well that is a glaring view of his lack of coaching ability. I know for a fact a Lan Kiffin, Nick Saban, Hugh Freeze, etc. would not have NFL arm talent sitting on the bench this long.

I'm a big Nuss supporter but people said this exact same stuff about Jarrett Lee

I'm obviously no coach but I don't see how he can NOT see how the use of Perkins didn't severely impact the game in a negative way.

With an obviously outmatched secondary why wouldn't you want to use a weapon like Perkins to reduce the amount of time that QB had, and he had A Lot!!

That's fine, but SOMEBODY has to rush the got damned passer. How many 3 man only fronts are we going to run letting a semi mobile qb have all day? We've already proven we can't cover WR's in the backfield. So we had better find a way to get pressure or at least try. You can't play prevent all game and expect to keep them below 30. And when your offense can't put up shite for points, that means your chances of winning are dwindling.

Wow. Not even close to the same situation. Nuss is so far ahead of Lee talent wise it’s ridiculous to compare them.

I rewatched the game and JUST LIKE LAST YEAR, JD held the ball too damn long time after time. We should’ve hung 50 on them if he would throw the damn ball sooner

Perkins should be used more creatively. But he isn't someone who can just play the jack position and rush every play. But he should not be dropping into coverage or playing inside majority of the time. I would like to see Greg Penn as the other inside backer and utilize Perkins on edge more but yes it doesn't seem like that is going to happen. What I can say without a doubt though is if Perkins continues to drop into coverage majority of the time its going to be very tough to watch. Also Speights looked lost in Zone Coverage as well so it wasn't just Perkins.

Reading Dandy Don this morning with regards to Perkins, and Kelly doesn’t appear to be in an agreement with everyone else. We all believe that Perkins was terribly misused, and should return to his position last year and play to his strengths. Dandy quoted Kelly as saying “ it’s a new position for him so there is a learning curve.” I think that’s significant and very disappointing to hear. Perkins apparently only rushed the passer on 7 plays . It’s also concerning about all of the other glaring problems that need fixing.

Did you or Dandy Don ever figure that being developed into a 4 down LB is Perkins deal to come to LSU. It doesnt help HP’s pro value to be a lightweight 2nd and 3rd down edge rusher.

Kelly giving Florida State locker room material is very foolish for a head coach or any coach for that matter and he sure missed his assessment or maybe he actually believed LSU would beat the heck our of Florida State which if true is ever more dangerous.
