TLDR: They beat up a patchwork LSU team by one point with a first year head coach and now they are arrogant.
Same team also had a true freshman at LT and Emery Jones hadn't cracked the starting lineup yet.
More I look at the matchup, the more I wonder how FSU is going to stop LSU's offense. As long as LSU can avoid 3rd and long, LSU should be able to score a ton of points. They run a similar defense to LSU's (lot of 4-2-5), and seem to have just as much of a depth issue at NB/S/CB as LSU.
Verse is good, probably a sure-fire 1st round player; Cypress was the best CB in the portal; but what do they have after that? Fiske seems like a solid but overehyped player. The talent level from MAC to SEC/ACC is a massive step up. As long the LSU line executes their assignments, they should be able to handle his quickness at DT.

Then rallied off a 6 game winning streak against Georgia Tech (5-7), Miami (5-7), Syracuse (7-6, Syracuse was on a 3-game losing streak), ULL (6-7), Florida (6-7, coming off a loss to Vandy), and Oklahoma (6-7).
I didnt pay much attention to the season FSU had after we played them. They went 10-3
The only teams they beat who finished with a winning record: LSU, Louisville, Syracuse.
