This is the thing. Everyone is shitting on Emery constantly. He cleary has had some hardships personally but even moreso he's just not cut out for college. Unfortunately for him you have to go to college to play in the NFL, and to in college you have to be able to pass college. He needs reps to improve, but he can never get on the field academically. He seems to be a good person, but like you said, he's not a scholar.

My Dad who passed in 2019 had the highest paying LSU student job, $2.50 per hour in 1957/58. He was a tutor for the LSU football team. He would receive all of the answers to the tests and help the players memorize them.

LSU spends about $35K per year per student athlete. You should be able to at least get some passing credits out of that.
