If he was a 5* RB... is he the worst 5* RB that's ever played at LSU?

Maybe. But the worst five star was that linebacker from the midwest, Clifton Garrett.

Jesus Christ, yall are absolutely moronic.
Bottom line: some dudes just aren't built for college, especially when athletics is a full-time job. That seems to be the case for Emery. College football is the only path to the NFL.

5 star players bust all the time. Look at Gilbert as a prime example. The fact that Emery is still here and is trying to figure it out is fine with me. I hope he figures it out and is our starter but if he doesn't he has to be a man about it and sit the bench. If nothing else he should earn his degree from LSU if he listens to CBK.

Only so many 5 star backs have played at LSU
He has a chance to make something of his final year. It's not like he's bad he just isn't head and shoulders better than our other backs

I think his issues have been more off-field related and that translates into less practice and playing time. Just my thinking.
I was always an Emery fan but he does really look more like potential rather than performance at this point. Which makes me sad for him and for LSU. And more than a little frustrated.

Listen Mr Emery... this is a question about his college career while coming in a 5* RB. But to say some are built for college, when "athletics" is a full-time job is just dumb. More like some aren't built for it when "academics" is required to play. IF he makes it in the NFL, GREAT... but that doesn't eliminate his overall ranking as an LSU RB. For a guy with his skills and talent, it's just sad.

Arik Gilbert had a really solid freshman season with us, we just sucked. I don’t think Clifton Garrett even played a snap with us here.
