Parking in Starkville

I have only been to Starkvegas once, on a bus trip, so I am not fond of the ins and outs of navigating the campus.
We have a VRBO west of campus. What are the best spots to park/how easy is it to get a visitor parking spot on those westside grass lots?
Thanks in advance.

Best bet is to just pay to park in one of the many trailer parks around there. Only charge $5 too because that’s how far behind they are from the rest of us.

i went in 2019.
paid something like $15 for a reserved parking spot.
only to realize i could have parked for free a lot closer to the stadium.
2:30 kickoff and the parking lot attendant acted like i was nuts for showing up at 8:30 (i thought i was late).
She even said “you the game doesn’t start until 2:30?”.

Just watch where you step.

The last several years, we've been parking at the Thad Cochran Research/Technology Center across Hwy 182 from campus. They have shuttle buses running back and forth. Always been pretty quick in and a quick out after the game. $10 to park, if I remember correctly.

We do things a little different in Baton Rouge. We showed up on campus in Tuscaloosa at 11 AM for a 7 PM game and it was dead. I was like uh what’s going on? In BR, things would be cranked up by 11 AM already.
Point being, nobody does it like South Louisiana. It’s the one thing Louisiana takes true pride in and does right.

This is what I did in 2019. Very easy and had a friendly chat with some fellow tiger fans on the shuttle over. Took 10 minutes tops from locking my truck to being at the gate at Davis-Wade, 15 minutes before kickoff. Highly recommend

on way to the Stadium, as I approached my exit, there was literally only one other car in my entire field of view on the 4 lane Highway.
I even thought to myself something must be wrong and was second guessing myself as to if I was in the right place.
