Dave Concepcion. I'm a Reds fan. I played Shortstop, so I wanted to be like Davey C.

Willie Mays. The ultimate 5-tool player. Relatively small at 5-10 175-180 he hit 660 homers. During his years with San Francisco, he hit balls that cleared the fence, only to be blown back into the field of play. Check out the documentary “Born to Play Baseball.” He was playing against men when he was 13.

Cheers. I immediately hit reply and didn't scroll down. Nice to see some else that remembers how good that dude was.

Wrong. Chipper comes after no one. He's the best switch hitter of all time.

My grandfather liked the Reds in the early-mid 70’s so I liked them too. Johnny Bench was my favorite. I went through a stage at home answering only if my family called me Johnny Bench. When Ron Guidry started playing, being from the Acadiana area, he became our favorite player.

McGwire
I had the red and white Oakley M frames, McGwire replica 1st base glove, wore #25
I was obsessed
Edit: really loved Maddux up until the time he turned me down for an autograph in St. Louis, when my dad and I were waiting on our floor.at the elevator Not even at the lobby. Literally us 3 and nobody else. He said sorry kid, stopped doing autographs a while ago
I thought my dad was going to assault him.
Sooo we didn’t get on that elevator down and waited for the next one.
Totally soured me on Maddux
