One of my sons decided I was late picking him up at daycare (about 6 years old) and snuck off grounds, making his way home. Probably 3 miles. In doing so, he stayed hidden along a drainage ditch and made it through several areas that I didn't know a trail existed. By the time he got home there were already people there cleaning up my house, expecting an upcoming funeral. He said he stayed hidden walking home so "nobody would kidnap me." He did a good job at that.

And I think all these parents driving their kids to schools is a big reason we have so many pussies. Let me ride the dam bus, they’ll be ok.

You feel free to ride the bus anytime you want to.

I need a map to understand this story. Poor kid was terrified, but does that say he was a few houses down from his house? One stop wrong could mean a block or a mile.

Horrible situation, glad the kid ended up okay, but goddamn if this is her worst nightmare she has had the softest life out there.
You have had alot of things worse than losing a kid happen to you?

frick man sorry I have been so hard on you sometimes

Having my kid lost out there not knowing if he/she is ok or kidnapped etc etc is absolutely up there for worst nightmares. That not knowing feeling would be brutal

I doubt you could find your house now without Waze and I bet someone else has to set the destination for you.

That is awful and terribly dangerous. What if the children had knocked on the door of a child molester?

Good thing he wasn’t dropped off at a Wal Mart cause he would have been kidnapped by some Mexicans.

Not all are the same.
He's 5 years old and I bet he was really frightened.

That kind of stuff builds character. It’s a shame it doesn’t happen to more kids to be honest.
