Wanted to ask you guys if it’s worth it to updater from a regular 13 to 14 Pro? I know the 15s will be out next month but there won’t be much of a difference between the 14 Pro & 15 Pro. There’s hardly a difference between the 13 pro and 14 pro other than the dynamic island.

The 14 Pro Max is currently $1099.

The 15 Pro Max will likely be $1200-$1400. If you are planning on spending that much money. Just go ahead and get the top of the line so you dont have to worry about another iphone for a few years after its paid off.

This question is like, should I trade in my 2022 used car for a 2023 model or 2024? They will both cost a lot but why not get the 2024 if it isnt going to be that much difference in price?

I would wait on the new phones solely for the USC-C switch

The 14 Pros have some more differences compared to 13 Pro besides dynamic island.

-A16 Bionic chip (versus A15 Bionic Chip)
-Emergency SOS via satellite
-Crash Detection
-Photonic Engine for incredible
detail and color
-Action mode smooths out shaky handheld videos
-Always-On display
-Second-generation sensor-shift optical image stabilization
-Some differences in apertures with main & ultra wide (don’t know if better or worse)
-Bluetooth 5.3
-Precision dual-frequency GPS

I think the regular 14s were closer to the regular 13s.

Apple always goes big on anniversary phones. 5,10,15 etc

Everything I’ve heard is the 15 will be much better than the 14 and a big upgrade. Always on feature, more stable and better glass, new chip, much better battery and USBc

I’m in the same boat and I’m going to wait for the 15. Wireless companies are desperate for sales right now, so I expect some good trade in offers. T mobile announced 5k layoffs today.

FYI I work in that biz

I don’t usually upgrade till a few models are out. I just went from 11 to 14, I usually wait till a discount.
Verizon had a $700 discount for existing customers

It’s looking underwhelming at this point. The lenses on the camera will be a bigger jump.

Allegedly usb c is for compliance and speeds will be around usb 2.0.

Chips are always faster each year…

I currently have a 10XS Max. I will finally upgrade mine when the 15’s come out. I would never upgrade annually or every 2 years. The difference in model years are usually subtle changes and upgrades.
