I would put some talstar down along the exterior wall even the whole perimeter. Then soak the back wall of your kitchen with it too before y’all leave so it can dry and leave a residue.

Be sure you're exterminator is spraying around the base of the house. I think it helps our ant issue. they come in for the water (or oils) and cool air. same as people.
