re: Parting ways with dog after a great life.

Sent my sweet girl home after 13+ years with her this summer. My heart still has a hole. I know I'll have another one eventually, but she was the absolute sweetest and smartest dog I've ever known.

Also, my next dog will just be mine and my wife's (no pics). I have a 16 year old left in the house, but he'll be gone soon and the dog will barely know my kids that have left the nest. Kinda is a weird thing to think about.
