I suspect the entire controversy was started by one or two attention starved Indians and then a bunch of woke whites jumped in.
I never understood how naming a NFL team "Reskins" or a baseball team "Indians" was anything other than complimentary to Indians.

IBF, I can understand how redskins could be offensive to Native Americans and why they might want it changed. But Cleveland Indians, Atlanta Braves, FSU Seminole, etc, I don't believe the majority of Indians are offended by it.

It may have been 1or 2 attention getters but isn’t that what the situation was in the first place in getting it changed ?
