TCU would be top of my list for SEC. One of the better athletic departments in the country.

Are they really southern? What was southern 180 years ago isn’t what I’d call southern in today’s world, that’s especially true for those two schools.

You’re poor and fricked. Stop trying to rationalize.

Bend the knee to your Midwestern overlords, you soap-dodging son of a bitch.

The SEC is about to eat the ACC like the Big 10 did the PAC. You will see FSU, Clemson, UNC and UVA all invited to the SEC in the next year. This will secure the Florida market (BIG ain’t taken Miami, sorry Canes fans y’all are about to get left behind) as well as the rest of the south east and up to NOVA/DC. This is a massive market share of the most avid CFB watchers in the nation. UVA will be like a new Vandy, Duke/UNC will continue in basketball only and NC State will get left on the vine to die. Just you all watch.

Don’t know why people are so worried about the present conference shuffling? This is all going to be undone and reorganized in the next few years so it’s meaningless right now.

Then it should take another school in Texas (SMU, TCU, Houston, TT, Baylor or even Rice).

Get out of here with this

this is about lesser in the context of athletics. No one is questioning the academic prowess of GA Tech.

I’d be happy with FSU and Clemson

Big Ten can have UVA and UNC

Big 12 gets who they want, then after that, Big East, then AAC gets what’s left

Yes very much, there are still millions of southerners in both states....they're like Georgia.

Rice Stadium seats 70,000 so they’re SEC ready

It is a little wild to me that the SEC has so few basketball titles with all the talent that came through the south.

Kentucky has 8 (last in 2012)
Florida has 2 (last in 2007)
Arkansas has 1 (1994)
(LSU and Kentucky have pre-tourney titles but don't really count)

Adding UNC and UVA would add a lot of power to our basketball credentials.

most of Rice Stadium is unusable because it's falling apart.

Yeah I know.

Er, I don't want to talk about athletics!

Let's look at those research dollars!

Give it a few years, we will be the University of Chicago of the South!
