Any real cure for cancer will be pulled from the market rather quickly. Too much money to be made in chemo treatments.

I can't imagine that anything that can "annihilate tumors" would have any bad side-affects at all.
Posted on 8/2/23 at 6:43 pm to VADawg
Exactly. There is no money in the cure. Imaging how many people would be out of work if there was an actual cure for cancer.

did it come from a piping hot bowl of bat soup

Yeah, unfortunately you're probably right.
Big Pharma can GGF!

The truth is that old age will always provide many opportunities for the medical industry.

How do you figure? It’s not possible to prevent all cancer so as long as we exist as a species, there will be cancer patients who will pay for a cure. The US government would save so much money from a cure that the idea it would squash a cure doesn't make sense now matter how in bed with pharma you think the government is.

I’m excited to see this board finally give Biden the credit he deserves for curing cancer

Even if true.. no way that big pharma will allow it to hit the market without a fight..

This sounds like the first 10 minutes of a lot of zombie apocalypse movies

Check it out, two pharma companies competing to create a new method of treating lung cancer and the industry is allowing it to happen. One of the companies is on the Dow 30 and was first to market.

Wut?
Big pharma just charges $100k for the treatment
And insurance will happily pay because thats way cheaper than traditional chemo

People say this shite all the time and it is absurd.
Take these new weight loss drugs, for example. The long term effects of obesity line the pockets of drug companies the world over, yet they still are trying to patent their own weight loss miracle drug.

The only drawback is it’s going to cost something like $250,000 per dose and insurance won’t cover it.
