One complaint could be that they advertised this as the story about the creation of nukes, but its really a biopic of the genius behind the creation of the nukes. The dialogue is amazingly well done. Acting is as good as we've seen in a while.
The only people that will hate this are those who expected a bunch of frickin bombs blowing up, but if you know anything about the Manhattan project, this just didnt happen

Right - it was much more a look at Robert Oppenheimer, his struggles, his inner conflict, and his ultimate railroading.
As far as the scenes with the gadget itself exploding (without giving too much away just yet), I really liked how they pulled that off.
