I pay attention at games and concerts and rarely film or take a bunch of pictures.

If I want video from the "Garth Brooks" concert...I will go to YouTube the next...someone is going to upload it.

The cell phone videos are almost always shite anyway.

The best part about this is everyone is calling out the ones that the singer called out but we only even know about this because...someone else was recording a video with their cell phone

Does Keith Urban still make you lock your phone in one of those cases? So you can't record his show. I know him and his wife are big liberals but it is not a bad idea. Just enjoy the show.

Yeah, who doesn't love looking at the stage and seeing 974 cell phones in the air?? It's called etiquette and these people miss the whole show trying to take a video they'll probably never look at again.

If you go to an event where cell phones aren't used, you'll realize just how shitty it is to be at an event where cell phone use is common.

i'm old. I really enjoy music, and i go to concerts to see and hear the artists that i paid to hear. These days, it seems that every person has to be the center of their own world, and they will do whatever it takes to insure that they "own the place" instead of listening to the artist and allowing all those other ticket buying patrons to the show that's taking place on the stage.

and get off my lawn!!!!

but really, etiquette is out the window.

From this thread, you can certainly see who the self-centered, cell phone addicts are.

Weird take. Pretty much every one on the planet right now is a self centered cell phone addict. Miranda deserves every bit of heat coming her way for this. Ive been to countless concerts over the years and not once has someone taking a picture or video ruined my experience. I try not to use my phone at concerts, but if someone purchases a ticket and wants to play on theirs all night, then go right ahead.

I know a lot of people who use their cell phones politely. There are places (e.g. the Alamo Theater) where you get tossed for using your cell phone. Sadly, I think it is a losing battle. Rudeness seems to be common. A polite society is a civil society, but I think we can't go back.

Why view the concert through your phone if you paid $750 to be there?

There are shows where the ambient light can really frick things up

Go to a Tool show and tell me it wouldn’t suck if thousands of people were recording

I've yet to see a single person say they like taking videos in this thread. 1 dude said he did but no longer does.

Stop making shite up, it's a bad look.

Same here. Like I said, it's people bitching for the sake of bitching. It's the type of people who complain all the time about everything.

I don't care for it. I don't do it, but I don't give a a shite that a bunch of strangers are doing it because it has zero effect on my enjoyment of the show.

People need to mind their own business, that's all there is to it. That is a big issue in today's world, people worry way too much about shite that has no bearing on them.

I agree, but they can do whatever they want as long as it's not affecting others.

Someone may think you're dumb and question why you'd leave a couple of times in the middle of a concert to go get a beer, but the same thing applies, that doesn't affect them whatsoever so they shouldn't worry about that.
