Your post leaves a pretty wide open group of vehicles. Just a word of caution, there are some unscrupulous folks pushing a lot of fake classics out there. Some are easy to spot, some require extra careful validation. Don't let pretty paint lead you to regrets later on.

Might be fun to own a low-mileage Maybach.

Guaranteed to either double your money or be worthless in 5 years.

As soon as it needs something like a trans it'll be worth whatever it weighs.

Classic items don’t hold their value. Their value comes from nostalgia but the people who are nostalgic about them are dying on a daily basis.

Not true...

Anything highly desirable, produced in limited numbers and no longer produced will hold value. Some might not greatly appreciate, but will have a set minimum value and hold.

First generation Ford Broncos are appreciating, but you won’t sniff one for 50k.

Sorry, I'm planning to invest my life savings into cars. I can't give away my secrets and risk financial ruin.

In today’s market, I’d say classic cars are probably a safer bet than most investments.

Classic cars, like crypto, appreciated with the inflation in the system. So, doubtful.
