What a fricking day...was supposed to fly from Geebs to Chicago today at 10:45 a.m. for the Windy City Smokeout. Last night flight gets cancelled. I am able rebook a different flight tonight but was gonna try standby on an earlier one. Standby flight gets cancelled, my second booked flight gets cancelled. No other flights until Friday, no one way car rentals for the next few days, not even any goddamn bus tickets. So I just took a $220 uber from GB to Milwaukee, missing the train I was trying to catch by five minutes. Next one is at 7:30 and I was able to find a brewpub next to the train station. So not all bad.
My Uber driver was some famous Irish musician who lives in GB and like me lived in Chicago for a long time. Knows all these famous people. Zappa would probably know who he was. We talked the entire two hour drive.
TL;DR Trains, planes, and fricking automobiles.
