A. There is no doubt that Jefferson is LSU's best QB. If he can play that well with essentially no experience, I turely believe he would be head and shoulders above any other QB on the team had he been named the starter at the beginning of the year. I also believe LSU would have a better record than they have right now. He certainly did not look like that was his first significant playing time. He was very confident in what he was doing, can run, and has a cannon for an arm. Mistake #1, Miles not naming him the starter to start the season.

B. It is painful to watch this team. I understand the QB problem (although that is enhanced by naming the wrong guy to start, (Hatch, then Lee, then Jefferson, who is by far the best of the bunch). The defense is not very good. Mistake #2 by Miles, not naming a big time DC. Mark my words. Miles will not hire a DC. He is too loyal to his coaches, and there will continue to be problems with the defense.

C. Extremely bad play calling after the turn over in the 4th quarter. LSU had a chance at 28-13 to get right back in it and lost 18 yards on the drive. Mistake #3 by Miles, not throwing the ball 4 straight times on that dirve (even if one was a bubble screen).

D. No team can be dominant year after year in the SEC, but certainly you should not expect LSU to be blown out like they were. I agree that you don't win that many games in the SEC by not being a very good coach, but everyone was waiting to see if Miles could win with his own players, and so far the answer is a resounding no. Miles is the man in charge. If he can recruit guys like Mingo and Randle, he will be OK, but if he keeps loosing out on guys like McKnight and looses Mingo and Randle, especially to Saban, and does not make changes to improve the defense, that's going to be the beginning of the end.

Stay tuned...

If you can't realize that then you don't know what you are talking about.

Just what we needed, another thread about how JJ is the best QB, Miles will never hire a DC, and how Miles will be fired 2 years after winning a national title.

There is little doubt he is the most talented QB..Arm Size and speed, footwork, by far the best from that standpoint,,we have seen all 3 play now...JJ add another dimension

The Best? Well right now, that isn't too hard to meet that bench mark...We are just full of potential..Not a knock on them, just stating the obvious.

And the offense was completely dead during the 4th quarter...what, about 32 total yards in our last 20 or so snaps....yeah, JJ was a force in crunch time

Trust me, I know a lot more about football than you ever will. I can tell that from your meaningless post. Did you think that up all by yourself or did your Mommy help you.

Oh, It's not my knowledge that I'm concerned about it, believe me. When you start a post by stating what the head coaches #1 mistake of the season was, I know what we have here..... A guy who presumes to know more that a NC winning coach. That's just laughable.

Like I said earlier....he looks real good while we're losing. He's big, athletic and smooth....and we score less points with him in the game than with Lee. Our offense was totally dead in the 4th quarter with JJ in the game. I think both guys are the future, but neither is the present and some fans can't deal with the fact that we just can't win with backups to backups playing.....it's just the hand we got dealt this year.

I am not sure it really matters. Right now, JJ is our ONLY QB. He goes down and we are in deeper shite than we have been in this season. Pray for his good health, and that those other two get healthy again real quick.

Agreed...the best thing for all QBs involved is just to get through this trial of a season and be prepared for next year.

Of course JJ is the best QB we have. Anyone who says otherwise is an arse clown.

However, he isn't the future of the program. Sheppard or someone else is going to have to come in and take over. But JJ is a guy who could play some for us.

He could play for us if an injury or emergency arises. Jarrett Lee should never be allowed to even wear the uniform again.
