Do the TMobile 5g cell towers have backups now a days? It seemed like everyone's cell services was garbage the morning after Ida in the NOLA area. It may have been folks swamping the towers though.

Wondering if TMobile 5G home internet is a good backup plan (or just good internet plan) for hurricane season?!

They didn't last summer. We're in Alabama, and got a bad line of storms that knocked power out for several hours. We had 5G/LTE phones, and had no data. Realized after a while that our daughter's old iPhone was an LTE/3G phone and she was getting 3G data, so I was able to log in to Alabama Power's outage website to see when to expect it to be back on. They give decent estimates, and if it was going to go into the night I was going to go hang out with family until it came back on.
