Look, here are the facts:
The CDC says 1 in 4 girls will be sexually abused before they turn 18:
CDC: Fast Facts on Child Sexual Abuse

The UN thinks that up to 50% of women who are trafficked face sexual exploitation. UN 2020 Report on Human Trafficking

CBS news reported that 130,000 unaccompanied minors were taken into custody at the border in 2022 and many faced sexual abuse:
CBS News: Allegations of Child Sexual Abuse at the Border

Of that number Amnesty International estimates 60% of the girls were sexually assaulted along the way.

Splinter news disagrees. They think the real number is 80% of women and girls crossing are raped along the way:
Splinter: Is rape the price of the American dream?

The NYT says that thousands of those unaccompanied minors were sexually assaulted in US detention centers alone and that the cartels are abusing other en route to the US.
NYT - Thousands of illegal minors sexually abused

Here’s the Guardian explaining how in the border regions of Mexico the cartels lure girls 15 and younger into forced prostitution
Guardian: The heart of the Mexican Sex Slave Trade

The national center for missing and exploited children reported 19,000 cases of sexual abuse against children in the US in 2022.

Further, they report that of the 25000 runaways reported last year 4100 were the victims of sexual assault, or almost 20%.
NCMEC - By the numbers

The bottom line is that child sexual abuse is a horrific issue. I don’t see any evidence for widespread use of adrenochrome beyond rituals in central Africa and attempting to make the issue about that sidetracks the fact that child sexual abuse is a horrible issue impacting up to 10M children worldwide as we speak.

Wasn’t gonna go and see this in theaters but I’ve decided the more I’ve read about it, that I will support the film even with my little $10.70 ticket.

Going to see mission impossible Wednesday night and sound of freedom on Thursday night

I went to see this film wondering how the hell I would enjoy it knowing the subject matter. It was really well done. Disturbing at times and definitely made me sad by the end but it needed to be seen.

The message at the end is powerful.

Some people have a weird obsession on this topic. Like really obsessive about the subject. I find it almost as alarming as the actual crimes themselves.

The fact of the matter is liberals and specifically this administration support trafficking, open borders, cartels, massive influxes of drugs... into the country.

Human trafficking has no political allegiance. Anyone who tries to make it partisan is suspect.

Why is it so important to you to attach partisan labels to human trafficking?

Of course not. One side simply wants to encourage more trafficking by keeping our borders open, and the other side doesn't.

Not partisan at all. Definitely not. We certainly shouldn't acknowledge this obvious truth.

More dishonesty.

Much of those aren't really facts (more allegations) and others aren't applicable to the discussion (like the 1 in 4 claim, which has been disputed on here for years but I digress).

The link he posted for his NCMEC cite did not support his claim, so I'm assuming it's from somewhere else. Regardless, I already posted earlier sexual abuse at home was a key variable in teen runaways. So he's agreeing with my point.

The UN report is potentially interesting, but I haven't had time to read it all, yet, to verify what he's saying. It's 186 pages and I just saw it. It is going to take some time to read all of this.

When do you plan on reading it?

Plans fell through tonight

Bargain ticket prices at the malco on Tuesday

Got my ticket for $6 tonight .

Hell yeah. Can’t wait.

Edit: checked the seating and there are 17 tickets sold for sound of freedom so far

The new mission impossible shows tonight at 6:45 and not a single ticket has been bought for it.

Kind of crazy

Just got out

Enjoyed the movie

Also: whatever media outlets claim this movie as some QAnon nonsense need to be disbanded and shut down . I watched it with a really critical eye to see what they were talking about and that was all horseshite

The REAL reason they don’t like the subject matter is because it hits way too close to home for the rich elites in power and we all know it
