Widely believed that “new coke” was an advertising ploy to ultimately boost the original coke product. “Classic coke” was the transition back to simply “coke”.

Close. It was so that when they re-introduced the “original” Coke, we wouldn’t notice that it had been re-formulated with high-fructose corn syrup instead of sugar, as had been in the original Coke.

Yeah, I got cancelled on her for offending people. You say it as an insult. If you really knew how much I don't give a frick about not starting threads you would learn this is not an insult at all. The board wanted to cancel me from starting threads, someone cool with an admin who doesn't like me lobbied to make it happen and oh well.

You voted for this shite

This is really getting tired. I voted against Trump. I was a registered Republican at the time (now I am no party affiliate). I think Trump is a con man and will never vote for him. You got a problem?

There is no "why" lever in a voting machine. YOU voted for this. Period.

That is an urban legend, Coke was using HFCS years before New Coke came out.

Ardagh makes Tito’s and Tobasco bottles. I’ve been inside of the plant quite a few times and never saw bud light bottles. This story doesn’t sound completely accurate…

Yeah, but the people who are offended by everything really need this. The part time janitor heard from a guy who heard from a guy it was Bud Light’s declining but still higher than almost every other beer’s sales that shut the plant down.

Yep......and as far as I know, all the drop in sales figures being reported were based only on RETAIL sales. If bottle sales are down enough to shut down two glass bottle producers then overall Bud Light sales are likely down much more than 24%. Wonder when they are going to report the impact on total sales (retail and institutional)?

You assume AB InBev cares if they ever sell another Bud Light.

Trust that they definitely do care and they are def still trying to figure out how tf to fix this

It isn't a boycott. People aren't still mad and there isn't a change they can make to end it.

It's a negative brand association for something that was mediocre and easily substituted before all this started.

Bud execs should have thought of this prior to slamming the culture of its current drinkers.
