Hospitals spending boat loads of money on advertising

I went to the Braves game last night and I noticed that pretty much EVERYTHING was sponsored by Northside Hospital
First, they don’t need to advertise considering they pretty much own every single suburb in Atlanta area.
Next, the amount of advertising money they spend has to be well into the millions and millions of dollars.
Third, it costs a patient outrageous tons of money to get a simple routine procedure done at their hospital.
Am I the only one bothered by this? I had to get a couple of stitches a while ago and it cost something like $8,000 or some crazy fricking number. It’s just bullshite to me that the majority of the costs are to pay toward advertising, insanely nice buildings and insanely crazy CEO salaries, etc.
But, a lot of the times, there’s only one option available and it’s a Northside Hospital.
It’s bullshite the amount of money they blow on stupid shite they don’t need to while jacking their prices up through the roof

Now that semaglutide injections are cleared for weight loss usage, Urgent Care clinics are blowing up my phone asking if I want to get injections for “only” $70 PER WEEK.
Those places have gotta be printing money

Putting those COVID vaccine kickbacks to work!

Hospitals are big business. If you knew how much clinical care was decided by hospital spend instead of “what’s best for the patient” you’d want to puke.

Every time I read one of your post I feel like I'm reading some old FB post by some Karen who likes to bitch just bitch.

What’s funny is Northside hospital system is going through an RFP to kick vendors out if they don’t lower prices.

Hospital and insurance administrators unfortunately play as much of a role in dictating patient care as a physician which is sickening.
Would you want some entitled nurse that was put in an administrative position dictating how your loved ones are cared for

That's a solid point.
Even amongst all the bitching, his bitching sticks out.

Same for mega-churches.

Well, uh, I think we just went through something big about that.

Nobody wakes up in the morning looking forward to going to a hospital (excluding pregnancy) and giving them money.
People willingly fork over their money to the churches and treat it as a badge of honor

Show me where a hospital nurse makes decisions about patient care. I’ll wait.

Your wait is over
Hospital RN’s often sit over approvals for medical devices
Nurses also are often the folks who are instrumental in approving or denying surgeries for insurance
Would probably be best if you stuck to speaking on things you’re educated on, like the perfect temp for the grease before you drop that McChicken in the fryer

I’ve worked in the hospital industry for the better part of my 30+ years in accounting.
And I say you are FOS.
What you are describing is Nurses practicing medicine, which they are absolutely prohibited from doing. Not even NP’s are allowed to practice without the supervision of an MD or DO.
Now go flip your hamburgers.

They aren’t practicing medicine.
Hopefully you attempt some reading comprehension here.
They are part of the decision making process for what implants/devices/etc can be utilized by the physicians in surgery. Now get back inside and fix the shake machine. Smoke break is over
