I def had a price in mind. I wouldnt have matched anything crazy.

I would’ve considered bringing him back on the 1 year 7m or attempted to negotiate that down to 4-5m

Just for the simple fact, unless there is a trade, I’d like to have a big on the roster that can block or alter a shot occasionally, finish a lob, fastbreak rim run.

What are we down to in the free agency big market at this point? Mo Bamba?

That’s more than anticipated.

I wonder if the 2nd year is a team option.

Where did the Lakers get all of this money??

I thought they already used the MLE on Vincent.

Player Option, I believe.

It is basically a “prove it” deal. If he does, they either have to ante up or he walks.

Damn, look at Jaxson Hayes getting $16M guaranteed and a player option.

Who is this guy’s agent? Lol

That’s a near minimum 2.16MM …. Really must have wanted out. He and Reddish, both lottery picks, signed similar contracts. Trying to rehab profiles in La La Land.

There's no indication that we even offered Jaxson that.

Don’t know the backstory, but for a team in need of a big that can move and at the tax line, 2.16MM is ridiculously low. Hopefully Griff has something in his back pocket.

Oh I was reading that as 2yr for 16 mil

2.16M per year makes more sense

If we had wanted to keep Jax, we probably would have said so.

"Even though we weren't able to extend the qualifying offer, we hope that we can work out another deal to keep Jaxson in New Orleans."

Something like that would have been said. The fact that Griff never said anything like that tells you everything you need to know.

Ok, for posturing sake's let’s say that’s the case, Griff hopefully has something lined up, or are you good going in with Val and Nance at the pivot?

Bro have what lined up? We didn’t sign Hayes because he’s garbage and we have 0 cap space.

We also still have 2 roster spots not including if Kira gets moved.

Calm the hell down acting like us losing Jax changes shite for us
