Top of 2nd. Fl has the momentum with 2 runs in the first. Thompson comes up with runners in scoring position. Guy had a horrible night last night and a horrible CWS - could easily have been in bad minset. Crowd could have been down on him and made it worse.

But the 24,000 LSU fans (out of 25,00 seats in the stadium) boosted him. It was HUGE! made a statement!

He gets the RBI and it completely changes to momentum of the game and the entire CWS. The rest, as they say, is history!

It was subtle and no one mentioned it, but that move by the crowd may have really changed to momentum and outlook of the whole game!

For those of you who were there, THANKS!!!

The crowd erupted for Jordan when he stepped up to the plate. Everyone wanted it for him. So many great storylines.

Our fans were loud and proud last night. Announcers even commented about the overwhelming numbers in the stands wearing purple and gold. At some points it sounded like a FB game and honestly I was waiting for 2019 mock gator chomp & cheer to start.
Thanks to ALL the fans that made the trip and supported our team to a National Championship.

May not have caught it the first 2 at bats because kids are obnoxious; but when he came up the 3rd at bat and you could just hear the Jordan Thompson chants; that was epic.

Also have to give credit to the booth. They love to hear themselves talk so much during every broadcast, but they let the crowd do the talking during 2 of Thompson's at bats. At one point I think KP was about to say something, and the chant was clear enough you would think they were in the booth, and KP just stopped talking to soak it in.

I had the TV muted and the radio on. Doug Thompson made a big deal of it.

Lot's of baws spend 10 days up there and probably spent part of their life savings. Had the time of their lives and supported LSU.
Epic story overall for this CWS. Loved all the storylines and how this played out.

Just got off a Florida forum...they admitted that the LSU/Florida ratio in the crowd was probably 90/10 for us. Said their fans have to do better.

I guess at jello shots too.

Sounded like the Box X 2 or a mini version of Tiger Stadium. The invitations sent to Gainesville must have gotten lost in the mail.

When Thompson came to the plate and the crowd stood and cheered him on, that was the first time last night that I got teary eyed. It was magical quite honestly.

Was crazy to hear the pro LSU crowd a few times during the game.

Evidence that this site is not representative of the LSU fanbase as a whole.

Love this, OP. I was as pissed as anybody at his play but not at him. His first AB I got chills from the support everyone showed. He sucked a rock all tournament until his back was against the wall. He showed up in a big way last night. Props to the young man.
