He isn’t worth half of his qualifying offer and he will not get offers from other teams close to that. Sign him to the minimum team option deal like Naji and Jose so he is positive asset. If you pick up his option for nearly 8 mil that is a negative asset

A 1 year $8M deal is not a negative asset.
I know Hayes has been up and down, but for basically the 3rd season in a row, he had a very positive end of the regular season and he was a huge part in why we started winning a few games.
Of course, I’d try to fix the rim protector issue in free agency or trades, but if nothing comes to fruition. Jaxson Hayes needs to be back on that 1 year deal bc he’s the 1 Center we have, that can occasionally protect the rim and be a vertical spacer and fastbreak finisher.
