That is not how weather works. We live in the Northern Hemisphere where summer time winds are predominantly out of the north. This is even more so the case in the plains states. For them to orient a baseball stadium in the direction they did was just plain stupid.

Winds predominant out of the north would be blowing out in that stadium.

The predominant average hourly wind direction in Omaha varies throughout the year.

The wind is most often from the south for 7.0 months, from April 22 to November 22, with a peak percentage of 50% on August 29. The wind is most often from the north for 5.0 months, from November 22 to April 22, with a peak percentage of 37% on January 1.
