It’s not that. It’s that you’ve been provided with examples of great players not being super human in Omaha and you mentioned Wyatt Langford for some reason.

But he's been very streaky since snd his K rate has skyrocketed over the past 2 months

He went like 7/13 with 2 HRs in the regionals (named MOP) and went 3/6 with 4 BBs in the super regionals. He also went 5/12 in the SECT with a HR. He had a bad three weeks late in SEC play but has hit around .500 since the regular season ended. Not sure what exactly people expect out of the guy.

Hurd should have already been warm,

I was at the game and specifically watching the bullpen. Hurd was warm in time. You obviously start Floyd that inning with how he was dealing. The only argument to be made is should he have pulled him 1 batter earlier (before bases loaded). That may be nitpicking but Hurd was warm and ready. So no blame from me on those decisions. Pitchers were constantly getting ready from about 5th inning on. Guidry, Ack, Hurd etc.

Todd Walker gets all the praise for his 1993 CWS heroics.

But LSU trailed 5-3 in the bottom of the 9th in an elimination game with Long Beach State and Todd Walker due up 6th. It took four guys getting on base so he could hit a single past a drawn in infield to win the game. His team mates stepped up and Todd Walker performed when given the chance.

Tonight LSU trailed 3-2 and Dylan Crews was due up 4th in the bottom of the 9th. Crews never came to the plate.

Now if you said Danny Corona, then I'd agree.
What was the final score on that Florida Virginia game?

Walking the bases loaded was absolutely the largest factor in our losing the game.

No, it wasn’t. It was the large amount of hitters with zero hits. It was the inability to hit Tre home after his lead off double.

what point is this even trying to make?

I'm just pointing out Langford's postseason stats for you while you're pointing to the scoreboard.

If crews goes 0/3 but LSU still wins tonight, does that take him off the hook for you?

The GOAT talk surrounding Crews is a joke. Stop it.

Dylan Crews likely has the highest career postseason batting average of any LSU player with more than a handful of at bats. That’s a fact. He entered tonight with a three year postseason average between ,490 and .500. He’s got about 7 of 8 career post season home runs.

Against their best opponent in Omaha Langford hit one out of the stadium and Florida won by 1.

It drives my point home even more.

He's not playing like a superhuman but he has actually effected the outcome of a game in Omaha

I hope crews goes 4-4 Tomorrow with 5 RBIs and I hope he wrecks shite snd we win it all somehow.

I hope y'all get to bump this and admins permanently make my sig line

"The idiot who doubted Dylan crews"

Sincerely

Langford hasn't been Superman but in their biggest game all year against the best team they've faced in the post season he hit one into the parking lot snd they won by 1. That has to count for somethinf

Why exactly? Y’all are asking a singular baseball player who bats 1 times out of 9 to carry a team. Every single out he records (which will happen because he’s not Jesus) is criticized. Unfair expectations. It takes far more than a single person to win a championship.

He gets all the credit for being the goat when things go well but 0/3 with 2 K's and not even a hard hit foul ball?

He gets the credit because he has put up goat numbers. Not just because of team success. There has never been a baseball player alive that didnt come up short in a big moment.
He has only been the best player in cbb the last 2 years but yeah let's shite on him cause of 1 game. I hate our ignorant and entitled fanbase.

He also has a career OBP of almost .500 and a .380 career BA to go along with back to back SEC POY and back to back to back AA seasons. And is a finalist for the Golden Spikes Award. But I guess it’s silly to applaud a player like that and put him in elite company. People put Furniss in the GOAT territory and he was cheeks in Omaha in 1996 and part of an all-time choke job in 1998.

It counts for his only hit in the CWS at this point. He got to bat in the 9th inning with a chance to “tie” the game, he didn’t win it. Dylan got left standing on deck.

Oh idk maybe that 1 RBI in a 1 run game is a big deal.

Yeah, if we win then he's not the potential difference in win and a loss.

When we lose by 1 run and he throws up a goose egg with 2 Ks then it highlights a bad performance.

It's not fair but it's reality.

So if you lose by 1 run and put up goose eggs you choke, but win by 1, and still goose eggs, then you're doing something?

Bc that's exactly what Langford did yesterday while the other mashers on his team did it for him
