Ten bucks says the down-voter is furiously Googling to see if Kari Lake and DeSanctus really got the same percentage of their respective votes in their first go-rounds.

Tim Scott might be a good choice for any GOP nominee. But, are we going to select a person based on race?

" If he could help Trump take even 5% of black voters that would normally vote Democrat it would make a huge difference."

... Trump won't be the nominee and hopefully a real conservative is selected as a running mate. Tim Scott is a nice guy, but he is not a conservative. Plus, Haley has already signed a pack with the Devil for that VP spot.

That's it, my child. Thy childlike and homosexual faith in the Lord thy Disney-slapper shall be rewarded. Let he who hath facts and logic and consistency be forever banished from the Florida state voting records!

The Aryan Nation baws that make up so much of the Trump base ain’t going to vote for a brother on the ticket. So you pick up 5% and lose another 10%.

No, it's a natural gravitation towards shows of strength, just like with the DeSantites. Trump comes off as strong, as do Ron and Kari. If we can be honest here, it's a valid measure.

Yeah, just like the do in most 3rd world countries, elect a strong man to do your bidding. It is the natural turn toward populism that regrettably has infected the Republican party. Just because it's natural doesn't mean its good.

Yes, the GOP was doing so much better before Trump. We lost a lot, but at least we did so with our perfectly coiffed heads held high.

We need strength to fight the enemy. If you don't see this... you're beyond help.

You must either be young, stupid or both. We lost 2 consecutive presidential elections to the first black president in U.S. history. We put up 2 very bad candidates to run against him, but nobody was going to beat Obama. Otherwise we were winning at every other level of government. We controlled the House, the Senate, had 34 goverorships(an all time record), both legislative chambers in 32 states. The Republican party was in one of the strongest positions in history, and in 1 single term we pissed it all away. Donald Trump is the first president since Hoover to loose the presidency, the house and the senate in a single term. We also went from 34 Republican governors to 26 and lost a multitude of state legislative chambers.

Trump has been dragging the party down for 7 years now, we've never lost this much this quickly. Donald Trump may "fight like hell" but he rarely wins.

Reminds me of my B-I-L telling me that ULL would be just as good a football team at LSU except for the funds to attract better talent and a good head coach. So basically, just replace the handle and the head and that hammer you have will be much better.

In case you're not following, you're saying the GOP was good except for the bad candidates. Mitt could've beaten 0bama in 2012, but he was a GOPe - losing with dignity, right?

The party dynamics are far more complex than "OMG Trump lost the House and Senate in his term and then he lost the presidency!" There is amost always a party switch in the House the first mid-terms. Your hero 0bama lost the House and the Senate his first term. You can look at stupid stats all you want, and sound like those NFL guys who like to point out that no team has ever lost by more than 12 points when they were leading by 3 or more at halftime on a Thursday in November with a head coach that came from the Big Ten in 20 years".

Here's a statistic: The GOP has sucked for decades.
