The overdose scene in Pulp Fiction was pretty funny if I have to be honest..

Yeah always saw it that way vs. intense.

"A magic marker...a felt tip pen!"

"Give her the shot!"

"You brought 'er here, that means you
give her the shot. The day I bring
an O.D.ing bitch to your place,
then I gotta give her the shot."

Shootout in HEAT. I was sweating in the theater when it was over. I was imaging being one of those officers pinned down behind a car while those guys were making Swiss cheese of the cars.

Was coming to say this. Even though I knew how it played out…tense EVERY time I watch.

Only read the first few replies so my entry has likely been said and repeated many times but...

"The slow knife" scene from Saving Private Ryan has to be up there.

Also the scene of the struggle where the American gets slowly stabbed in the chest. That is a tough watch.

Arguably some of the most realistic filming of what it must have been like storming those beaches on D-Day.

Most previous war movies showed guys getting hit and simply falling down, but "SPR" showed what the real carnage looked like in all its graphic detail.

Ripley turning around and going back down to get the little girl in Aliens was always a tense one to me.

There are a bunch in Band of Brothers.

Brecort Manor in episode 2. The Easy boys taking out the 88s shelling the beaches. The Breaking Point up to the scene where Buck screams “Medic!” after he sees the guys get hit and losing Guarnere and Toy. Whalberg was really great in that episode

13 Hours

Night battle through the view of NVGs.
That one got me going.

And fricking Upham in Saving Private Ryan. The slow knife scene is infuriating.

Hamburger Hill
Assault on the hill in the pouring rain and the soldiers sliding down helplessly because the can’t gain purchase in the mud. It’s like the dream when you can t run fast because you’re stuck for some unknown reason.

I love everything about that scene. The way she gets in the elevator, adjusts the shoulder straps on her assault rifle/flame thrower, then cracks her neck and sniffs, flaring her nostrils to get maximum oxygen flow going. All backed by an INTENSE soundtrack.

Surprisingly the beach obstacles were facing the wrong way.

That's an excellent one. That movie is pure awesome. And yes, very stressful since it's mostly from the vantage point of the soldiers defending the compound.

Great movie.
