No Waffle House in the town I grew up in till after I was married. We went to the Pitt Grill in Houma on the corner of New Orleans Blvd and West Park.

If you don't have at least 3 waffle houses in your neighborhood in GA, you are not in GA.

No Camelia Grill? Where did y'all go after 97 beers at Cooter Brown's?

Definitely made it to Cooter's then Camelia a few times. Went to school right across the street though, so it wasn't as as interesting to us as the Hummingbird.

St. Charles Tavern was another good spot, or eating whatever they're still serving at Fat Harry's at 3 or 4am.

Back in the day we had a shoneys in Houma but if we were local we had a shop rite for that.
We just recently got a waffle house but I'm not out that late drunk much anymore. Actually go just for a normal breakfast.

I'm forbidden to order Bert's Chili. It does horrible things to my colon and my wife threatened to leave me.

I remember a late night visit to a Waffle House. It was packed and evidently the cook was new, the waitresses were barking orders at him and being shitty. The guy was trying but struggling. Finally he threw his apron down and said, "frick this and frick ya'll!", he walked out. It took forever to get our food. Crazy.

WH isn’t sketchy. It just depends on the location. I steer clear of the ones in or near big cities. The ones in small towns and rural areas are fine.

Fair enough.

The closest ones to me now are Westheimer in Houston and another Highway 6 location.

Both would check all the sketchy boxes.
