All these Smith threads I see and none of them really mention the impact his return will have for Wingo. That guy was practically the defensive MVP last year.

He was an animal that played almost every snap and was a playmaker.

Yes Smith will help Perkins, but the combo of Smith and Wingo is going to be something to watch. I am imagining Lavalais and Williams style production.

Comparing to Dorsey is putting too much pressure on the kid.

But I predict Wingo will have an even better statistical season than last year and that will be huge for us.

Our secondary will get a lot of help from D line this year and it’s gonna be great.

Second that on Wingo.

Moreso than just adding Smith, we’re also adding Jefferson, Shand, Lee & potentially starting to get contributions from Hill/West.

From that group, at least confident Jefferson will be an impact player. Shand could be. From there Hill & West have potential as well. At the very least, starting out with more depth to work with an avenue to be elite unit if some things work out.
