Todd Walker said that before the game the key for LSU was the lefties coming through at bat. He just said the lefties in the lineup not named Tre Morgan went 0-8 with 5 Ks

Does the regional have neutral umps - not from SEC?

God I hope so.

The catcher interference wasn't the game changer. It was the correct call. Travinski getting caught off-guard at 3rd would have been the tying run

Thanks JML,Live The catcher interference call cost us the tie going into the 9th. Jones gets on and Crews ties it up with a 2 Run HR.

Guy’s left foot was out of the back of the box.

I am sure everybody is negative, but pitching did well after Skenes today. We got screwed by a very tacky catcher interference call that is likely not called by most umps.

Sucks. I hate we have to play tomorrow. Winning this game would have been massive. I don't root for us to lose ever, but is winning tomorrow really worth it? I am just focused on next weekend. Maybe we need the extra games. I don't know.

How was it the correct call? How many times have we seen the batter swing at strike 3 but make contact with the catchers glove?!

What’s the difference? Oh, he put the ball in play and the 3rd out was made.

This call was absolutely atrocious!

Seems like you are ignoring smart baseball.

Story of this game is a three run catcher’s interference, then said catcher strikes out multiple times with runners in scoring position!

Skenes was a little off today. Nice to see Cooper pitch well.
LSU did have a season high in strike outs with 17 Ks, but outhit Arkansas 11-6.

when two very competitive teams play, one key play or missed play can be the difference. The margin of error is very, very slim.

Official Baseball Rule 6.03(a)(1) provides that the batter be declared out if he hits the ball with one or both feet on the ground entirely outside the batter's box. (So long as any part of the foot is touching any part of the line when the batter hits the ball, he is within the rules.)

Now go watch the reply, slow it down, and freeze it. You will then see his whole foot was NOT out of the batters box

Milazzo starting to close his mitt as the pitch was deep over the plate. You don't understand how fast that goes deep over the plate. I still don't think it was interference. Too many weak ABs at the plate today for LSU. Don't understand Pearson starting and playing 8 innings vs two high caliber lefties.

Story of this game and probably 90% of our losses is we strike out WAY too much

Paxton only hit once, but his AB pissed me off the most, because it is so predictable. I was on the phone with a buddy and said he will watch the first two right down the plate and then chase something out the zone to strikeout. Really tired of seeing him watch so many strikes early on in the count.

This is the type of loss that carries into further games

A 1 point loss to a really good team where you out hit them but had a couple miss queues & a few outstanding plays by the other team?

Me too. Frankly, if I’m Johnson I’m telling him “you’re a freshman, that hasn’t seen many plate appearances, they’re going to throw you fastballs. Sit on it from the first pitch and swing away.”
