US citizen. Not asking much.
Legal local residents pay property and sales tax. They use the streets and their (often-citizen) kids attend the schools. Why should a local jurisdiction by state dictate be precluded from letting them vote on local matters?
Do you hate local government?

If citizenship means so little to you, would you please surrender yours?

Again, why?
You are smart enough to know all the many reasons why. And floating local gov in our face is vacuous as there are many many many things local gov should not be able to vote for.

Only if they own property (and we know most do not). I own property and pay tens of thousands in property tax in three different jurisdictions where I'm not allowed to vote, so...?

and sales tax.
So do tourists and anyone else traveling through. I should get voting rights in every place I've paid sales tax over the last year?

Again, why?
If you allow the mass migration of people by the millions (and they will be given amensty to be permanent residents, at least) you can change the composition of the government very quickly and not for the better.
You basically allow another nation to overrun your government at the voting booth.
I mean... this concept has been around since the founding of our country. I guess it's the first you've ever heard of it?

Learn to speak english, take a civics class and wait in line.

All forms of it UNTIL, of the people, by the people, for the people.
You know why the democrats voted this way.

When a person takes the 100 question test to become a citizen, the test is given in English. Without becoming a citizen, we'll have people voting that don't speak the language. Anyone in our country pay taxes, that doesn't make them citizens.

Legal local residents pay property and sales tax.
Illegals also pay sales tax, and they indirectly pay property taxes through their landlord.

They use the streets and their (often-citizen) kids attend the schools.
So do illegals.

Why should a local jurisdiction by state dictate be precluded from letting them vote on local matters?
For the same reasons illegals can't.

Just trying to understand, I can be a citizen of china, come to the USA, rent a room, go to the grocery store and should be able to vote on all elections?

Why aren’t these “permanent” residents citizens?

Because we have a Constitution.
Stop being a trolling dickhead

Hank, Hank, Hank... (SMDH)
You do realize that the STATES are the entities that hold political authority which, in part, they grant to the federal government and not the other way around, right? And, by the same token, the STATE holds political authority over municipalities within its borders - not the other way around.
I seriously thought you were better than this, but apparently you need a couple remedial political science classes. That wasn't even coherent enough to be a half-assed decent attempt at trolling.
Bad form, Hank. Bad form.

No fool.. I hate illegals who can vote themselves our tax dollars for whatever they have the numbers to push through. How dense do you have to be to support this shite.
"When the public trust becomes the public trough, and 50% +1 person can vote themselves hand outs of any sort, that will be the end of the Republic."
