I know his contract states something about making at least the third most in the SEC after winning the national championship...

With Tennessee fixin to unload probably an unprecedented amount of cash for a new coach, will LSU have to increase Les' pay to stay within contract boundaries?

UT just paid a coach $9 million because he lost to Miles.

After losing the SEC title game, Fulmer got a new deal with a $6 million buyout, while getting paid close to $3 Million a year. You can't beat that, when you only last 9 games.

Pretty sure this is the case for just winning the SEC.

Winning the title makes him the highest paid in the SEC (if not the country if I remember the contract right).

But it isn't a permament situation. It is a one off flash of salary adjustment based off of what schools are paying coaches at that particular point in time. If he wants to readjust his pay again, it would have to win the SEC/national title again.
