re: Biggest butt chewing you ever took?

I was 20 years old or so and I was an Autocad draftsman. I was interviewed and got hired by a civil / structural engineering company to draft using Terramodel which is a civil engineering drafting software. When I was hired everyone knew that I didn’t have any experience with terramodel or civil drafting. A couple of weeks into it this redneck a-hole engineer asked me to make some edits to a drawing. Iirc it was a waterline that needed to be changed to a sewer line or vice versa. I made the changes that I thought were correct and emailed it to him for his review. The next morning at 7 am I walk into the kitchen to put my lunch in the refrigerator and he berates me in front of another engineer because I hadn’t done it right. When he got done I looked at the other engineer and said good morning and walked out.

Told my my mom to stuff it when she was needling me at my grandparents house.
I didn’t know my grand pop was behind me it didn’t go well he put that trench warefare shite on me and choked me out twice.

I might have been a captain of the football team at the time but, hell that 145 lb man born in the late 1800’s fricked me up and set me strait nobody has ever beat me down that easily and scarred me so badly.

Brought me back and did it again…

1) I think I was 11 or 12, and my buddy I was with got caught by the cops for shoplifting Bubble Yum. I sensed something was wrong, and didn't steal anything. Cop brought me home. I pulled the "I didn't steal anything, he did" line, and my mom rightly backhanded me (with the wedding ring hand) across the noggin and expressed her sincere displeasure that I would be friends with such a kid.

2) A partner in NJ on a big project decided to take out his frustration on the team of 7-8 I was on, late at night in 2008. The arse chewing was epic, but it was based on his failures, not ours. As he continued to insult people, including my direct boss, for no good reason, I started to lose it. I'm extremely patient (in person), and if I stayed listening to him for another 60 seconds, chairs would be airborne, and my hands would have been around his neck, because he was a DICK. I left the room. I was a senior consultant, he was three levels above me, and there were no repercussions, but I was going to smash that mofo if I didn't leave the room.
