I am sure our education system and corrupt politicians have nothing to do with it.

I'm gonna get Gordon to sue the state for my lost wages.

Can't wait for T-Bob to wonder what the hell these people are talking about. It's Republicans fault, not Trial Lawyers.

The Gordons/Womacs/MBs personal injury plaintiffs are one thing. But it's the frivolous mineral rights cases that are causing the biggest impact to the LA economy/jobs. The Plaintiff PACs fund legislators, the Governor's campaign, and I believe it came out that the one of these tried even funding/backing some Judges' campaigns (might as well hit up all three branches).

As bad as insurance companies might be now, good freaking luck once they know no one can sue them.

Lots of Trial Lawyers in the legislature that wrap themselves in conservatism but torpedo this every year
Texas has had it 20 years. What did Jindal do in eight years

whoa- business-funded group produces nice round number estimates (50,000 jobs! $3 billion!) that we've lost due to the "legal environment."
And of course, it's all trotted out just in time for election season.
Looks like only one solution: tort reform! It worked so well at lowering our insurance rates just like we were told. We just need more of it.

Which is a big problem.
Public service used to pull from all job types and not just lawyers. It’s a problem all the way to DC.

this also killed Illinois, when it came to doctors and such.
I remember talking to a Dr, who left Chicago for Wisconsin.
He was paying 500K+ for malpractice insurance.
Moved to Wisconsin, and i believe he said he pays 32K for mal practice.
It didnt help that you had Madison County, in Illinois, who was the law suit capitol of the world. Cases from every state would be brought there for suits.
And the Lawyers can donate to a judges reelection efforts. It was out of control, i believe they reigned in a lot of the out of state law suits heard there.
I was there, trying to get a ticket we got on a truck we didnt own, fixed, and a big lawsuit was being hard, and nearly everything happened in Louisiana, but was heard in Madison County courts, so they would win.
