No Thank You for your Service

You're being a useful idiot. The everyday soldiers don't need to be spit on like the Vietnam War. If they're injured during service, they need our respect, compassion, and help.

Don't let the powers that be, manipulate you into hating our servicemen. The trans campaign only represents a very small number of the fighting force. The soldiers being made the face of the military are designed to demoralize the general public and the fighting men.

Hate is a strong word but I didn't care for it unless it was a little kid. After a couple of mistakes I avoided running any errands on the way home in uniform, even if it meant an extra trip. In the 2000s it was embarrassing.

In the south you'll frequently just get the single head nod from other men; that's enough. I know what it means and I didn't have to come up with some version of "thank you for thanking me for my service".

The one in the top right was a tough dude before the transition. She without doubt would still kick the shite out of most of her haters on here. I met her at Benning.

Dumb take if serious.

Stop listening to Taylor Swift music.

It's not hate, it's simply recognizing that their presence is an unnecessary disruption to a force that's supposed to focus on lethality, not social justice.

Funny how the loudest bitching about everything in our great nation comes from redneck dogshit.
All of you rds subhumans should remember that dogshit ALWAYS gets stepped on. You'd do well to remember the old movie line..be careful where the dog shits you.
The only good thing is that it's easily scraped off the shoes of real Americans.

What has the military done worth honoring since the 1940s?

This is what pushed you over the edge? Not Milley or Lloyd Austin's statements (and actions?) Not John Kirby saying things like

quote:

“For all this talk of chaos, I just didn’t see it, not from my perch,” John Kirby, the National Security Council’s coordinator for strategic communications, said on Thursday at the White House, following the publication of the Biden administration’s report on the Afghanistan withdrawal.

Sorry but I am out on honoring our military any longer.

Respecting and supporting military leadership is NOT the same as supporting our troops.

You should never have been supporting with any measure of blind allegiance towards our military institutions and their methods or goals. Not saying it's WRONG to support them, but never blindly.

There was a time when posting personal photos while in uniform was a violation of regulations…now…who cares as we twist down the toilet bowl.

Right.

Because my son is the one making those decisions.

Screw him, right?

I tell ya what pisses me off.

When I quote a job for someone for my company and then after I send them the estimate, they ask if I offer a military discount. When I tell them I do not offer a discount because my margins for them are so low, they get pissed off and offended.

Look, I think it is great that people join the military to protect me and I cannot thank them enough, but I pay for their service every single day without them knowing.

I'm sure you have first-hand anecdotes for this, not just what the media puts out. The Army is still full of arse-kickers, I assure you.
There is not a military on this planet that would willingly want a piece of it.

I don't want to sound overly critical OP, but you don't have to be in or out on any of these topics

Honor the people who deserve it and approach others who do things on your behalf with thanks and humility.

For those who aren't there for the right reasons or don't contribute in a meaningful way, you can ignore them and go about your life

So you are basing your perception of the entire military on some ad campaign dreamed up by three people behind a desk in a DC marketing company?

Well, he's an idiot, so yeah.
