It sounds like the type of guy that will at least be a solid special teams contributor. If that’s his floor, I’m satisfied.

As stated, his perceived physical weaknesses disappeared at the combine, so maybe he's just in need of being coached up.

Cam Jordan - 34 to start the year
Nathan Shepherd - 30 mid-season
Demario Davis - 34 to start the year
Marcus Maye - 30 to start the year
Tyrann Mathieu - 31 to start the year

Agreed. Glad they got one. Other than, and maybe even including, DL I thought safety was our overall weakest position group coming in. I don’t think much of maye or mathieu going forward.
