I had a torn ACL and major meniscus tear in the same knee in late 2018. The ACL reconstruction sucked, but for the meniscus I was supposed to be no weight at all for 6-8 weeks. I pushed it some, but still was off work (except remote hours) for 7 weeks. You aren't supposed to put any weight on the meniscus until it has healed, but mine was a bad bucket handle tear.
A little fraying to clean up won't be the same because the part bearing weight is intact.
