Where does the 699 Pro fit in relation to the other OEM irons.

Ive gamed Srixon 7 series and Ping i25 and s%5's. I dont react well to alot of offset.

Allegedly, Sub70 is working on a single length set and if this happens, I'll be joining the club. I want a combo set of 5-7 being single length and 8-PW being variable.

I’m so intrigued with the single length sets especially in 7,6,5, and 4 irons. I’ve always heard the issue is the distance control with them is terrible though.

I've gamed a number of single length clubs and they all do it a little differently. I think Edel is the best concept now with the Paderson shafts... expensive as hell though.

Cobra is coming around and their later generations are much better.

TT Elevate shafts in the SL clubs is what I'd like to tinker with next. I created a varible/SL combo that I game now but would like to give Sub70 a look.

The 699 pro is a P790. I’ve put them on the monitor side by side and got identical numbers.

They just released a V2 of the 699pro. I haven’t hit them yet. It is supposed to be an upgrade on the OGs.

I’ve posted about Sub70 here multiple times. I can’t over sell them. Their customer service is second to NONE!

There is a sub70 owners forum on Facebook where clubs come up for sale daily. The CEO and other employees monitor and are active in the forum, but users drive content.

Srixon 7 series

Look at the TCs with possible CB in longer irons. Think 7 series with 5 series in long irons.

Call them, they will build whatever you want. The chat on the website is an actually employee. Again, amazing customer service.

Would you compare the CB closer to Srixon 5s? I had assumed more like the 7s.
I’m looking hard at 699 Pro but if CB are that forgiving I may look that way instead

Yes, closer to the 5s is what I was told by Sub70. It’s their most forgiving forged option.

Have you hit the sub70 woods, hybrids, or driver?

Yes, I have the 949 5w and 3w in the bag. The only Cons to the 949 is feel. Even when you square it up dead center, it still feels clunky. However, performance is amazing. It goes just as far as my previous Taylormade equipment.

I’ve not hit the hybrids, but they are very highly reviewed.

The driver is the only Sub70 product I cannot recommend. I got the 849D. It had a high pitched ding sound and didn’t go. It was at least 20 yards shorter than my Titleist Tsi3. I’m hearing the 2024 will being a new line of drivers.

Awesome! I appreciate the info sir. I have another year or two before I'm due for a driver, so hopefully they've worked those kinks out.

Coach, can you buy individual irons? Might be looking to replace my current 4-5 iron. I checked out their site but it seems every option is choosing a set.

Also, how would your rate their wedges?

I know you can buy a 4i for sure. I added a 4i to my 699 pros, no problem. They also sell 4UDIs
You’ll have to order over the phone. I would be shocked if they can’t accommodate you.

Wedges are great! I love my JBs. I bought them 3 weeks before the new TA3s came out though
In Cleveland wedges terms:

285s = CBX
JBs = RTX
TA3s are somewhere in between.
