That looks like a pretty foolish use of the school board’s political capital, in hindsight.
The baseball and softball fields were way overdue. The school didnt even have them. Also most of the school district's revenue comes from Denham, but Denham had the worst facilities of the 3 big schools.

Because of sales tax collected by the rest of the parish shopping there secondary to the lack of retail stores outside of Denham
