What is the going rate /Sq ft. for driveway formup and pour?

Denham springs area.
Recently got a qupote that was about $17/sq ft and that seems really high to me.

Does that include removing the old driveway?

That price is double to triple what it should cost to just form and pour.

I agree w/ Poochie. Typically this is $5/sf all day long. There is a strangle on the cement market so I could see $7-$8/sf worst case. What are the dimensions?

that does include removing old driveway, it is about 5k sq ft. It is a long driveway and a circle.

I’m not sure about removal, but new turn-key costs are around $7/sqft. If you can contract the form, pour, and finish yourself it’s closer to $4-5/sqft after all material costs.

I would think there is very little saw cutting (if any) involved. I imagine he will bring in a mini-ex w/ a ho-ram break it all up and then he will have some salvage value off the broken concrete as well. Unless you're just really rural and don't have options I would get some more pricing. I'm in North MS but just ran some rough #s for my guys to do it. With labor burden, sales tax, and 20% profit I am at $10.79/sf. Assuming another $1.50/sf to cover any variables I don't know about without seeing the site I would say $12-$12.50/sf would be a very reasonable price for demo and replace.

I did this for a friend. Removal and poured a new driveway.
My friend sells concrete, he gave me three names, all bids were really close in price. Just got the guy he felt better talking with. I passed there the other day, slab still looks great. Remember to use expansion materials, keyway and the black asphalt against existing slabs.

Let me know if you need more info.
