planning family trip (kids 13&15) to either cancun or jamaica. All inclusive resort, what’s the better option to keep everyone happy? thanks

It depends on where you live.

There is a steady stream of direct flights year round from Houston to Cancun, no so much for the rest of the middle & Eastern Caribbean. I tried to hit up DR, half the flights required going through New York! and the other half had a stop in Miami, for trip times of over eight hours. No thanks.

I've always felt Puerto Rico is underrated.

Beaches and service are much better in Cancun.

I’d prob opt for Cancun right now. Been to Jamaica a couple times and loved my stays in Montego Bay and negril but I’ve read a lot that its more dangerous than ever right now if you go anywhere outside your resort.

I just got back from Jamaica last week and I think people are nuts for considering bringing their kids to that island.

OP has been answered but the ability to see Mayan ruins alone would put it over Jamaica.

I'm a big history and old human monument nerd so take fwiw. Don't even care if over touristy. Everything is.
