Speaking of Gausman, he did an interview with Mikie Mahtook on Mik'd Up a year ago and mentioned how one of the things that started his turnaround was copying Sean Newcomb's mechanics when he had that "phantom injury" towards the middle of 2019 and was sent down to extended spring training.

fricking wild that Newcomb played a roll in Gausman figuring shite out and becoming one of the better pitchers in baseball. Sucks that it didn't work out here.

Gausman becoming a legitimately good MLB starter is mesmerizing. He fricking sucked in Atlanta. That split change got hit 475 feet every time he threw it.
