No, they do not HAVE to keep you on their health insurance

I wouldn’t go to New Orleans without a gun either.

It’s not common sense to break laws, especially when you have as much to lose as he does. Carrying a gun should be taken seriously, because that is very dangerous. If the law requires a permit to conceal, and he broke the law, then I hope Kelly deals with him harshly.

It is not very dangerous until he uses it. Its totally benign.
No harm, no foul. A young black man in Louisiana SHOULD be strapped.

If he were some random guy Deion Hopkins from central city, you’d be call him a thug & cheering this on

quote:the original arrest is legit by law. NOPD has kept guns for YEARS even taking them from people legally possessing them in vehicles(and of course when they showed up with receipts from purchasing said guns NOPD could not find them) then of course there was the grand daddy of all the great new orleans gun grab in the days and weeks after Katrina when law abiding citizens had their weapons seized when they needed them most.... seized by NOPD and OPSO folks going door to door. he broke the law by conceal carrying with out a permit - end of story.
Hold the frick on here, they’re not giving back his gun?
That’s just as bad as the original arrest and confiscation was. Unconstitutional and he should have his attorney fight for his firearm back.
frick these pieces of shite.

In his complete defense, they arrested someone in New Orleans on a freaking gun charge? WTF, there are numerous reports of gangs of kids all over Mardi Gras routes with pistols poking out and we know some of them an actually used them from multiple shootings. Of course, they are letting thugs that carjack and shot white people off Scott free.
If you go to New Orleans unarmed rn you are foolish. Alabama is now a non permit open carry state, Louisiana should go to a 20 dollar total deal permit, or do the same.
If he was just scared of the violence but still wanted to go to Mardi Gras then give him some extra laps and call it a day.

There are probably city ordinances prohibiting the concealed carry in certain places, even if permitted. For example, the airport, courthouses, parades, etc. Also, here in CO, if a place of business posts "no firearms", you can be arrested for having a concealed carry even if permitted.

[quote]released late Tuesday morning on his own recognizance, meaning he was not required to post bond.
Actually that's very good.

How about any citizen in New Orleans should be legally carrying.

Hmmm...need more info on that charge.
It is really not that big a deal. Will probably end up being a misdemeanor.

Thank You for the correct info on CC and open carry .

LMAO
Yeah, even if the law treads on your rights as a citizen? Do you know how many hidden laws there is that people don't know about just in Louisiana that are actually NOT enforced because they're so fricking stupid? frick off.
He has way more to lose than you or me so he has every right to carry that gun. He wasn't trying to use it on anyone but it sure can save his life if the situation ever called for it. Not like Nabers is a checkered past of thug history. It may not be the smartest decision ever but it's also not really a big deal and at the bottom of the barrel on what an athlete can actually do to warrant punishment.
Or go live over here so you can be arrested for defending yourself

Yeah , But Teedy says: That NOLA crime is way down! LOL!
NOLA , Br, FunROE, Shrevepit are all sad examples of what's going on with lawlessness in our state and our country. Sad when a 20 year old has to carry to feel safe .

A new neighbor was working security contract for Mardi Gras and he informed me that he had some kind of device that could identify handguns. He was a plain clothes security guard walking through the crowds and when his device alerted him then he would alert NOPD abd they would investigate.
This is what I was told and I did not see this device.
Really? That does not seem constitutional at all. If I have a concealed weapon, it is supposed to be concealed. Along with that, comes the responsibility of not drinking. Now that just blows my thought of carrying a gun during Mardi Gras.
