How many hawks is the experienced marksman taking out before his eyes get clawed out? 5? 10?

I used to be about some Magic...

2 to defend and the others attack?

Unwinnable in any combination. I'm going with a solid board flip at that point.

Absolutely not. Hawks are nowhere the beasts you think they are. To do serious damage to a human they’d have to fly close to the human for several seconds, in which time the hunter could knock them down with the rifle if needed

There are 50 hawks dude. Not like you have to worry about a 2 or 3.

How tf is the hunter effective at all if he’s been dive bombed and clawed by 50 flying objects. The gorillas/bears/wolves/lions are eating you while your number one pick gets taken out of the larger fight in the first minute.

I agree and took that into account. A 50 cal is also a rifle, but I'm thinking "traditional" here. If someone says draw a hunter with a rifle, it's going to be a single shot.

I don't know where to post this since I can't start a thread. Someone sent me an image from a reddit thread about TD, saying a gay admin who became homophobic had recently killed themselves. Im not familiar with how Reddit works all that much but I think it was under Baton Rouge? Unless this is something I missed, I figured that could be something of interest for someone to check out.

Yea boy, the OP was TD used Madamsquirrel saying TD is a cesspool, and apparently posts TD clips on Reddit once a month saying it’s a cesspool. Yet has 30k posts on TD. Idk about the admin story

The thing with the Hunter is he doesn’t have to interact with any of your defenders to kill you, unlike everyone else.

You almost have to take him off the board so that he can’t kill you from a distance.

What are you whacking them with? You have no weapons in this scenario.

I'm assuming that the standard laws of nature apply. Hawks dont attack in packs. An expert marksman with a 30 round mag. probably takes them out as they descend, all while the rats are distracting the land animals

Why would you do that? Is it a law of nature for a wild animal to defend you like the experiment says?

The hawks will naturally go after the rats before anything else and keep them herded enough that they wouldn't be a huge problem. Give me the hunter (if you don't pick the hunter, you're dead as soon as the competition starts) as he gives you a fighting chance, hell, just the sound of the gun will keep most of the attackers away, and the bears, the strongest and toughest on the list.

Because the entire exercise would be useless. Everyone would dream up unrealistic reasons to support their pick

Otherwise, gorillas could fly, Lions could talk to coordinate an attack, etc

You have to go with standard laws of nature, with the caveat being that these animals have a singular focus. You

The obvious answer is 50 hawks and 5 gorillas

Working in tandem, the two groups could easily overwhelm any of the others. You're probably gonna lose a dozen or so of the hawks and a gorilla or two along the way, but if they teamed up with air assaults mixed with ground attacks it would be almost impossible to defend.

Especially if you use your 50 hawks to focus on taking out the eyes of the bigger threats first, like 10 hawks swarming each bear and a pair of hawks for each wolf, going for their eyes. You take out the hunters eyes first, no way he could shoot more than one or two hawks out of the sky and he couldn't fight off a swarm of them at once. But you have to take him out first because he can shoot you or your gorillas from a distance.

While this is happening, you surround yourself with the gorillas and play defense. You tell the gorillas that the rats can get past them but nothing else. You personally handle the rats by stomping and kicking. Sure, you're gonna get bit a couple dozen times but rat mouths are tiny and that wouldn't be fatal at all.

ETA - I'm thinking the 3 bears instead of gorillas might be better for my scenario. Either way you almost HAVE to have the hawks on your side, as there's not really any way for the other predators to take them out quickly. A croc might get lucky and snatch one hawk, same with the lions. The bears probably arent able to snatch a hawk out of the sky in any meaningful numbers, the wolves definitely can't, the rats are easy prey, and they couldn't do damage to a buffalo but they could swarm and claw/peck out their eyes rendering them useless.

No matter what you almost HAVE to have the hawks on your team. The other is up for debate

The entire exercise is useless The best combo you choose is negligibly better than the worst combo you could choose. There’s no rational way to disagree with that lol.

The experiment would be more interesting if they dropped the numbers of most categories substantially. The odds of surviving even a few minutes (no matter who you choose to defend you) is pretty damn close to 0.

If the Hunter wasn’t involved, the correct answer would be the 3 bear and the 7 Buffalo. The shear mass would be too much to overcome.

The hunt throws in a monkey wrench as he can just stand back and end the fright without ever engaging.

The problem with the hunter is that he is OP going against you but he is borderline worthless if he’s on your side. You’re going up against nearly 100 animals intent on killing you (not even including the 10,000 rats), many of which have crazy high closing speed. How many hunters yall know that can pick off big game moving at 25-50 mph?

Yea if we are trying to end the game and you don't pick the hunter, you're dead immediately.

If it's a fight to the death for both groups, the hunter on the other side isn't shooting you first. The human is the weakest link. You take out a big animal first

Primates have to stick together. im taking the hunter and the gorillas.

I think the 5 gorillas could handle anything on the list and the hunter could provide overwatch and pick the animals off one by one.

10k NYC sized rats would kill everything on that list. They are going for every animals eyeballs and immediately burrowing into their brain. No way even an airborn assault by 50 hawks has a chance. They have to dive into range to hurt them…Swarmed by 10-20 rats and they are toast.

ETA: Hunter + rats = victory
